Tie-dye Poll

I just added a Poll on the right column... if you could see a tie-dye pattern demonstrated via video, which would you rather see? The choices are:
Rainbow Swirl,

Scrunch,

Bamboo,

Diagonal Stripe with Medallions,
Novas,

or Other.
If you choose Other, drop me a comment and let me know the pattern you would like to see demonstrated... if I know how to do it, I will add it to the list. I'm planning to start creating videos soon, and would like to do the most requested patterns first. The poll will be up until the end of the day Wednesday, March 31. I will post the results April 1st. I will demonstrate the way to create the pattern, and also how I apply the dyes.

Bamboo, at Last!

I have been trying to learn how to make the 'Bamboo' pattern I saw in a photo a few months ago... I've posted pix of my previous attempts. But I was never satisfied with how the design came out. Today I had a breakthrough, and I have Glennis Dolce to thank for it! I'm taking an on-line class from her on Shibori techniques, and even though we are working in silk, using Colorhue dyes which are designed to use on silk, and the technique she was demonstrating is 'makiage', which is a stitched/wrapped shape such as a circle or square, I could see what I was doing wrong on the Bamboo pattern. Today I dyed a shirt using the new version of the way I applied the dye, and voila! I think I got it!
Just goes to show, if at first you don't succeed, just keep on dyein'! ☺
